I was suspended from Ebay for listing mature items outside what they determined was the correct category. These are the same categories that TWO major Ebay Powersellers list in continiously. Ebay says that is not a defense and I certainly understand that. I served my suspension and spent hours studying the Ebay policies and educating myself in those same policies. I have emailed numerous times to be reinstated and can not get a response from them concerning my reinstatement. I am told that their department reviewing my account is extremely busy and will get to me when they can. If we were to give the same customer service that they give us they would suspend the seller for being a detriment to the Ebay family. Ebay says that they will answer your email within 24 to 72 hours and as of today, April 15th it has been 9 days since my initial email. I have tried to attain help and have been cut short several times. Only one person in customer support has attempted to be helpful and that is a supervisor who gave me his name as "Anthony". Come on Ebay..Help me!!

Someone stole one of my ebay accounts through phishing, and then my other ebay accounts were suspended. I have been selling on ebay for over 8 years with never a problem. I have appealed the suspension, but ebay states that I will be indefinitetly suspended, with no reinstatement date. To make matters worse, 3 of my friends have been suspended as well. All because they once logged onto my computer to check auctions they were bidding on. Then, the domino effect continues...my one friend found out her son and daughter were also suspended, because she logged onto their computer when staying with them (they live a few states away from her). When will it end?

I was not in the position to take credit cards , that is why I listed it that way. All they said was that I was accused of this offense and permanently bared from ebay. I pleaded with them for details on how they came up this is conclusion but they refused to address my concerns. I am so angry and feel very violated. My reputation and good name has been destroyed thanks to ebay.

Ebay suspended my account under section 9. They removed all my auctions including the ones from weeks back and sent my buyers the don't pay for email. I was swamped with emails some from people who had already gotten their items wondering why they shouldn't pay for something they already have. This leaves you open to fraud minded buyers who look at this as a way to get their items and their money back. I have one thing to say if your Ebay account is suspended CLOSE your paypal account immediatly. I have people emailing me for refunds even though I know they have their items(tracking #'s). This company thinks it can do what everit wants and not be accountable for it. It's time someone stood up to them because who knows what they'll do next. Also if anyone is looking for a new auction site try iOffer it's alot better than Ebay that's for sure!

Someone else used my computer, WITHOUT my consent while I was at work, the person is a 2nd cousin, not even related by blood, who stayed with me for a bit, while visiting my country, canada, I didnt not athorize this person to use my computer, or to open a account with ebay, or use any of my personal information, yet ebay suspended me wihout any notice, pullled all my auctions off, and im not getting any answers from ebay! i had no warning, I have always paid my eay fees, i have 100% feedback as a seller and buyer, and im a verified paypal user, yet I am being suspended for something i had no control over, its not fair.

ebay has suspended me for life for no reason! I put up a auction selling win95, I was new to ebay, first time selling, didnt know the rules, auctually the rules werent very clear, Ebay pulled that auction. I asked them, why, they told me I cant sell win95 unless I included the system. So I asked if I could sell it with the computer that came with it, and that I will include all the hardware that is left from the old computer, hard drive, etc.. but cant include the pc case cause the pc case was bent in the corner and it was too unsafe to send to a customer, you can imagine how old the computer was if it came with my win95! Ebay said ok. I then put it up again, and in the 2nd auction included the left over guts, hard drive, video card, motherboard,etc.. in the auction, I even typed on the auction to ebay, that I am including the hardware that came with win95, and everything that came with windows95. Next day? ebay again removes my auction, and told me im suspended! I emailed ebay and said to please look at my 2nd auction, I did include the pc with win95, just not the case, cause the metal was bent and it was unsafe to send to a customer, thats just a natural thing to do,right? I told ebay that they pulled it by error, and suspended me by error, about a month later ebay responds and says im suspended for life, I couldnt believe it! For life?? Wow. Then they suspended my whole family for no reason, they said its because im suspended! Thats just not right. I have tried for a year to get back on ebay, I even asked them to send me the auction they suspended me for, and they did, and I said, "see??? I did include the hardware"! Ebay said, ok, send in a reinstate paper, I did, and didnt hear anything back from ebay for a week, so I refaxed it last week, and last night a get a reply from ebay saying they reviewed my case and im still suspended for life! Why? What did I do? this is not fair or right, they claim I was suspended before, but I wasnt! I have 4 computers in my home, and my 2 sons were suspended and my husbands account was suspended all because of my account was suspended over a error on ebays part? I was new to ebay, I only sold one thing, Im not a big seller on ebay, how can they say I was repeatly suspended? They are just wrong. I always sent nice emails, I never swore and was never rude, I just prooved to ebay that my 2nd auction was pulled in error because I did follow the ebay rules, and now that I prooved them wrong, they suspend me for life. All I want is to go back on ebay and buy a few items, maybe sell one or 2 things a year. Thats not much to ask. eBay continually removes auction listing I have for press kits, saying that they are violating copyright law. First of all, PRESS KITS do NOT violate copyright law; this is documented. Second, eBay actually HAS A SELLER CATEGORY specifically for selling movie press kits! Not only have I lost hundreds of dollars in auctions they have shut down, a few months ago they suspended my account for the same reason, causing numberous monetary damages to me until I could get my account reinstated.

I was selling a Laser radar/scrambler. I had a bidder and few more were watching. Suddenly, just 2 hourst before auction end, the eBay cancelled that listing becuase that item is unlawful to sell. OK, first, the listing was taken from major dropshipper using their eBay wizard - I've contact them and they guarantee that such devices are FCC approved and absolutelly legal for sale - one could buy them in any electronics store. A few states do not allow to use them - but this is a different story, nothing to do with selling. Also, dozens and dozens same items are on sale on eBay as of now - why my was cancelled ? I've contacted eBay - no response. This is a clear violation of consumer rights to addition to lost of income.

I have been suspended from ebay for shill bidding. There were 3 people I was accused of shill bidding with. One of them I have bought from and sold things to in the past. I dont even know the other two nor have I ever heard of them. So I am suspended and so are these poor people who, as far as I know , did nothing wrong. I emailed and emailed and emailed ebay with no response from them. I have gotten no explanation for the reason they believe I was shill bidding. I have heard absolutely nothing. (not even and automated response) Another thing is that when ever I have tried to contact ebay about this accusation I end up on ebay.com.au (australia) I dont get it. I have questioned ebay about that too but no response. The first notice of my suspension initially stated it was for 7 days, the second one said Im suspended indefinately. Its like my life is on hold until they decide wether or not Im worthy.

About 4-5 weeks ago, I received a warning about listing Vacuum bags. The title read,"Miele style FJM Envirocare bags."Ebay informed me that it was a patent infringement and took of the 6 or 7 listings I had. After waiting for an explanation from ebay, they gave me an email to the Miele company and so I found out from them what was acceptable. So I relisted my items. Uknown to me ebay failed to take one of the listings off. I am set up for auto relist and have 1500 items listed most of the time. So unless someone specifically asks about that item or purchases that item, I would not catch it. So, now they suspend my account, because that listing is still on. The odd part is there are still people listing the item as I did and have never been taken off. I have over 10,000 transactions and 100% feedback. financially this is devastating, I cannot pay my vendors, I cannot fill a stack of previous sales. I am loaded down with inventory I cannot sell, I have had to let go of a couple people and if they don not let me get my account up I will only be able to make my payroll by using credit cards. I do not know what to do, there system only allows you to go in circles, cannot find a real person to talk to.

My original account was suspended due to violating there listing policies.. i had checked the listings and loads of people were listing the same items.. i then listed some leather hotpants they were removed and my account suspended! so i started to use my partners account he has 2 addresses on that account my address and his address (and a differnt card detail) that had been going fine with no problem.. my sister then asked me to open an account for her she does not have a debit or credit card so i did it for her, ebay would let her registered so i had to place my details down for it to go through. i had items listed which were no longer for sale so i asked her to purchase them for me so as i did not have to sell them - i know this is wrong but i was not going to leave feedback so did not think it would matter and this is not the reason i am suspended... any way i my sister has logged in and the account is suspended i have then logged in and so is mine.. because my original account is suspended they have closed them all because they are linked.. i know i am in the wrong as you are not allowed to register under a different name BUT why cant they just email you and sort it out first... my partners account had 2 addresses listed.. i am a geuine person i do not want to rip any one off but they are very very unreasonable especially when you pay EXPENSIVE fees.. i have gave up on ebay now they need to sort there policies out as veryone that sells on ebay are violating one of there polciies in some way EVERYONE has listings in wrong place or some other silly violation...

Ebay for no reason in the middle of listing items closed my account now i had about 150 listings just after a full night of preparing them and then when i looked at my account they had suspended it under another previous suspended user called Sand2thearabs which has nothing to do with me i got suspended 4 days ago without warning, i had 10 items just bought of total value £100 = $200 usd and they shut me out of my account told the sellers do not do transactions with this ebayer do not contact him, now 1 of the items arrived the other sellers took my money then relisted the items, now thanx to ebay im in debt as the 150 listings i made would have deffinitly sold for around £500 = $1000 USD and i have no job to pay money back and im like $400 in debt i know it doesnt sound much but it is to me, Any way i checked this sand2thearabs guy out and he wasnt suspended, i contacted ebay and instead of any emails back they changed the login alert message to "Your account was suspended as it was involved it activites against our police" all my items were simcards that i buy off ebay for cheap and sell again in bulk loads and make more money, so i contacted ebay again about this and then they changed the message back to your account was related to a previous suspended user sand2thearabs so i sorta sent them another email and they say they will respond in 24 hrs or maximuim 48 hours it has been in fact 5 days ago as my account was suspended on the 28th and they still havent got back to me now i cracked up with this so made 10 more emails and still got no reply now my account had a feedback rating on 129 150 positive comments 1 neutral and 5 negative, i also had a green square cross and was on my way to becomming powerseller. Now i find internet boaring and im stuck with far far too much stock that the price around the town you get less than you paid for it and on ebay id get 5 times the amount for it as value is rising and i cant get to sell before it drops again

Ebay is the worst site ever, I wish I had never got roped into signing up for it. I was suspended indefinately for cases I can't even dispute because there is nobody there to listen to me. I was reported three times. I admit that one was justified, but I've been a member of ebay and an active buyer for over three years now and have had a feedback rating of 100%, even up to my suspension. My first incident came about because I had bid on an item listed as the seller being located in the US, CA. When I get the seller's billing information, he is listed as being in Hong Kong. The auction never made any statements about payments being due out of country, and I wasn't sending money blindly overseas. I didn't think this was fair, as it's fraud and informed the seller that I would not be paying him. So that's stike one. The second time around I ended up winning and paying for an item I've been searching everywhere for to add to a collection of mine and would have gladly payed any price for it. (it wasn't even that much, somthing like $14.95) I sent out the money order to the address given to me at the end of auction, and then waited. I won 5 other auctions on the same date as this auction, sent out payment on the same days as this. When I have already recieved items from other ebay sellers, I start to get annoyed that I haven't heard so much as a reply from this ebayer. I then write to the seller in question an email asking what's up, and if he has recieved my payment. I get no answer. A week goes by, I resend the same email two more times, and finally he gives me a nasty attitude claiming that he has not recieved my payment and that if he doesn't soon he is going to file a complaint with ebay. I wait a few more days, still nothing, so I ask the seller to resend his address so I know I got it right. At this point, it's not that much money and I really need the item, so I resend the money with the intent of cancelling my old money order at a later date. I inform him that it will be arriving to him shortly. Another week goes by and the seller yet again sends me another nasty email saying he will file a complaint if the payment doesn't reach him in 3 days and that "he is sick of waiting." (so was I for his emails!) At this point all my other auctions that I had won and sent out payment for along with this second payment have came and gone and I have the items for these now too. So low and behold he reports me and says that if I had payed for my item like I should have, he wouldn't have reported me. And I had ORIGINALLY sent out payment within 24 hours of the auction for it to reach him in 2-3 days! Jerk. The third complaint is entirely my fault and I blame myself. I had won a pair of earring for about $13.00 and was slacking in paying for them. The day I had bought a money order for the item my grandfather died, so I was obviously preoccupied. lol, I had the envelope ready to go and everything, but I put it on a shelf and forgot about it. I entirely forgot all about this one ebay auction I had left to pay for too as I was off my computer for a solid month because my personal life and financial life was taking a toll. I come back to see that my account is suspended. I tried debating it with them but they treat you like a child and send the same automated email every time or just flat out ignore you. It's sickening that they can just throw away their customers like they don't even matter without hearing their case first with no recourse for the other person involved in the auction. I'm a bit annoyed that I can't get the things I want or need as easily as I used to through them, but my case isn't even as bad as the others on here. Ebay is disgusting. Screw ebay, they're not even worth it anymore. They were sucking my money dry anyway and they were a bad habit of mine, good riddance. I'm glad my money isn't going to help support them anymore. I hope someone sues the pants off them.

My account has been terminated due to a negative balnce of $800 even though I am unable to access the account. Everytime I called to restore access, ebay claimed the information on the account was different. Well of course it is different! The hacker changed all information on the account so I couldn't log in anymore! Now I am stuck with having to pay for something I cannot afford to pay. The representative said I should be expecting a letter soon stating that I am being sued and that my case is being turned over to a collections agency.

this is my problem. i have a personal ebay account with a feedback of 100 percent. so 5 days ago i thought i need a business account as i sell used cars for a living. my account was up for 5 days and ebay just suspended me? i am wondering why. i get a email saying i am linked to a user called great auctions-2006. so i serch through ebay and there is no such person. granted my personal account is still up and running as of tonight. i sent ebay a email asking for more information and they said i was linked to over 30 diffrent fraudulent accounts? but did not give me one name. so im stating this i live in butler pa and i will be filing a suit against ebay within 10 days for my suspension and the punitive losses that i have faced. ie i sold a car tonight before i was suspended for 7100.00 now all of a sudden the deal is dead? i dont think so. if other have had this problem lets talk jcastoak@aol.com

In the summer of 2004 I was selling lamps and was wrongfully suspended due to their so called VERO. I had no idea what it was. They are very unclear in their e-mails.I emailed them asking them to explain what it means. They never explain what it entailed. I assumed it meant that my pictures were copyrighted and so when they re-instated me, I re-listed the items with my own pictures and my own details. Well a couple of days later they suspended me and all my other accounts indefinetely. I signed up under other names (family) and after obtaining great feedbacks, I was suspended for linked accounts. I've been e-mailing them constantly, and I can never get a straight "personalized" answer. I even tried to call them and all they say is that they are an e-mail based company and that is how I have to go about resolving them , but we all know that it doesn't work. They also wanted to know how I got that phone number (we are not allowed to have an ebay phone number). Now after receiving altogether over 350 positive feedbacks, witha 99.8% score (one person complained that his item took 5 days to arrive. Mind you it was memorial day weekend in between) And that was the one and only complaint. ANYWAY....each time they suspended each one of my accounts I've lost a total of $6,000.00 in sold goods. I am very frustrated. Does anybody know a good lawyer who can take this ebay case? Please help.....

Deregistered . buyer of vehicle raked up 1000S $$$ in fines. as buyer deregisterd and i am deregisterd e-bay refused to supply info on buyer , no matter how much i pleaded with them. now e-bay in their wisdom deregistered my daughter , cancelled all her auctions (2700.00) with reason? wait for it. associating with me , same surname. Now they are asking her for fees for sales , but she cant even get the names of buyers to get the $$$$ and send items , and yet she has to pay fees. I buy and sell coins & currency. This is a source of income for me. I went to sign on to my account on 4/18 and I was notified that my account was suspended. I clicked on the link that said "if you would like to appeal this suspension click here" but I have still not heard back from them with the reason why they did this! I had 100% Positive feedback and had never had a single problem with anyone on Ebay. I am still in shock over this! I WANT ANSWERS and my account fixed. I had just finished photographing over 150 coins and writing over 150 auctions and then posting them all! The next day, they yanked all of them and closed my acocunt! IS THIS AMERICA I LIVE IN?? Seeing some of the users who have been suspended, I'm lucky to've been just a buyer with only three transactions, all with positive feedback. I was accused of having previous rights to a suspended account and thus was suspended indefinately, and "according to our records" was the only sufficient evidence needed. I emailed them back and told them that I would need to see their records so I could dispute them, and I've had no response, and judging by the history of other victims, it looks like it's no real use trying with them for the time being.

They closed my auction and said I needed to send all these pictures of the box, the license, the cd front, back, side all this stuff. I supplied them with all the informaiton to prove it was legit. I never heard nothing back, so I put it back up, I mean there are plenty of other people selling it out there and they are not doing nothing to them. Will a few days later I got and email saying sarahedavis account was suspended. I said fine whatever. SO I started my company account smokymtnjerky I had been selling jerky on their for about 6 months doing good. Then on April 16 they sent me a email saying they were closing my store and account because I had connections to the sarahedavis account that was suspended and if I wanted it back open I would have to sign this document and fax a copy of my drivers license to them. So I did. I receive and email last night say they have decided to to reinstate my account and anyone who is associate with me will be suspended from using or buying ebay. This is crazy. I always got a canned response that said firearms and never really fit my situation when auctions were turned off so I called. They never made mention of selling riffle scopes outside the USA as the problem. Until I called and they said I could not sell rifle scopes outside the USA. I then Emailed Bill Cobb Ebay president. I got an email from Cobb saying I could sell rifle scopes outside the USA and should relist the items they turned off. Every few months they would turn off more auctions and I would call in with my Gold power seller status phone number and was told I could sell the scopes and sometimes couldn't the scopes. No one seemed to know for sure. I did get a call from Ebay and a person said I could. I figured the permission slip from Cobb was good enough for me. He should know, Company president right? They have now suspended my account for selling rifle scopes outside the USA and mailed all my buyers telling them I am suspended. I am overwhelmed with emails form panicking people and my Paypal account balance is sinking like the titanic from all the chargebacks. Ebay had unfairly suspended our ebay account 'dvdau' In their opinion they suspected it was related to a previous suspended account 'almighty73139' We have absolutely no connection to that account and even an imbicile can see that the account was registered from the United States and we're from Australia. Emailing ebay about this is like talking to a brick wall. All that loyalty and positive feedback means nothing to ebay. We've lost a sustantial amount of business over this and most importantly ebay has lost our trust and confidence. I feel sorry for our customers as it was difficult to proccess their orders as we could not log into our account. Our reputation had also been tarnished as Ebay had emailed every single one of our customers warning them not to complete the transaction. Informed us that we are selling lock-picking items (banned by ebay), however we were only selling an informational ebook, which was indicated in the auction. When they canceled our listings we responded saying we were not in error, then received a response saying it was an error w/ ebay's customer service. Then not even 8 hours later, we were suspended for listing the lockpick items. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. We've had our account suspended for this problem a few times, only to be reinstated, at least five times now. Our frustration is growing since this is now our 2nd day, with no response from safe harbor, and when we try to contact customer service via live help we are treated unfairly and immediately disconnected. My ebay account was suspended simply because of a cusotmer complaint to paypal. First paypal suspended my account, then ebay did 24 hours later. I complied with all of paypals mandates and applied for reinstatement to paypal I was told that I would not be allowed to be reinstated at all. I was constantly led to believe by paypal that after I completed all the tasks that paypal required I would be reinstated, I called them almost daily communicating my progress toward compliance, the folks always told me I would be reinstated after I do this. Then they came up with more stuff to do, I did that stuff. But after all that effort, I was told I would not be allowed to reinstate my account. Ebay told me that I could not get my account with them reinstated till I straightened everything out witl paypal, so I am in a catch 22. The paypal compliant was based solely on the word of a buyer, I was never given an opportunity to make my case. The buyers word was taken as fact. This is a big problem with paypal, they will do what ever the buyer says, no matter the veracity of their word. I have been an ebay seller since September of 1999 and had over 850 positive feedbacks. My ebay monthly bill was over $400.00, which was paid always on time. Then I am thrown away like a dog.

Recently I had my eBay store suspended from eBay for grounds of "violating intellectual property rights". I don't know how this could be since the items I sell are in the public domain and other eBay sellers are selling the exact same thing every day for years. I responded to eBay for exact reasons and they just keep sending my a link to visit their policy page, no real answer. I did notice the others that sell the exact same thing I sell, and I do mean exact to the "T" at higher prices. So I can only conclude that eBay is discriminating against me on grounds that I am selling my items at lower prices and that I am not a high volume seller. EBay doesn't mind if the high volume sellers sell the same items at a higher price because they are getting a higher seller fee for their items. I don't see how they can pick and choose who sells what, which is essentially letting someone have a monopoly on this genre of products. So the issues I have are these in a nutshell: 1. Discriminating against lower level sellers by shutting down their stores and allowing the higher level sellers keep their stores open. 2. A company that has a monopoly on Internet auction sales that are allowing others to have a monopoly on what is being sold. 3. Shutting down outstanding eBay sellers stores without just cause or full explanation. After investigating my case, they re-instated me after a month of agravation, and repeated emails to them. I have been an e-bay member for about 7 years first of all. I have had 230+ feedbacks with a 98.7% rating. I literally had not even used the service to buy or sell anything for about 5 weeks and out of the blue I get a suspension notice from e-bay. Thinking it was a non-official e-mail I logged into e-bay to find the SAME message in my message center. The message is the following: "You have been suspended from eBay because our records indicate your account was involved in activities that violate our policies." That along with info to contact them. I have no idea why they suspended my account at that particular time. I have had some problems with a couple of listings I had posted that got cancelled basically due to the way the auction was phrased. Within the last 6-8 months I had sold some japanese pachislo slot machines... which are legal to sell as long as you list the states that cannot bid and you have to add a line that says they can only take tokens and CANNOT be modified to accept Quarters... which is a TOTAL lie because they can, but e-bay still makes you say that. Anyway... I simply got 2-3 auctions cancelled from dealing with the slots. More recently I had an auction cancelled for trying to sell a system restoration cd for a gateway machine. Like other items I looked it up to see if other folks were selling this item and found TONS of people selling them currently and TONS of completed items for the same item I was going to list. It ended up gettig cancelled due to their VERO policy, but I still don't get how TONS of people sell items like that all the time and continue to sell. I'm wondering if these are the people that have e-bay stores and they may have "different" or more leniant rules... hmm.. makes you wonder. I think the reason they limit your e-bay access and screw with other people's accounts you may know is to keep you from getting proof of un-fair treatment... as well as the fact that you cannot pull up your actual auction to print it out. I happen to keep HTML files of all of my auctions so I indeed DO have a copy of how mine was listed which may help later on. This suspension just happened within the last week an I have heard nothing back yet, but don't expect to. E-bay wasn't my life or anything, but it is a nice place to find unique things and much more convenient than having a garage sale all the time. :) Plus the fact that your audience is huge and you are going to get a more fair dollar out of your item when the world sees it.

My friend asked me to keep an eye on his ebay store and answer any buyer questions he received while he was on holiday. His account was suspended and then a few days later mine was too. I did nothing wrong, all I did was log on as him and make sure all was in order until his return.

On June 28, 2005 at 12:52pm I received a notice from Ebay stating “This email is to notify you that your account has been indefinitely suspended from eBay due to violation of our Shill Bidding Policy. Your account has been found to be involved in Shill Bidding with the following associated account(s)”. The full content of the notice proceeded to list the names of 27 other Ebay members, some of whose names I recognized as competing bidders on merchandise legitimately bid on, won and paid for from auctions previously posted by Buyessex, a secondary market electronics liquidator located in Nashville, Tennessee. Between September 18, 2003 and June 30, 2005 I have conducted 2518 winning bid transactions totaling $52,143.22 with Buyessex, a fact that I can fully document with invoices, payment receipts and tax records. I can categorically state that I am not now nor have I ever been employed by, coerced by, or in any way, shape or manner involved with Buyessex in any form of “shill bidding” scheme or any other form of business transaction other than those previously mentioned legitimately conducted within the framework of and in full conformance with all rules and regulations governing membership within the Ebay community. All transactions between Buyessex and myself have been conducted in a mutually professional and, until now, mutually beneficial and satisfactory manner. My User ID is godsnus and I have been an Ebay member since 1999 during which time I have maintained a 100% positive feedback profile with over 3300 positive feedbacks and zero negative feedbacks. I have found Buyessex to be a highly competent and professional organization and have been thus far very pleased with both the product and service offered in my business relationship with them. Under US tort law libel is defined as “The defamation of a person's reputation, in writing or by images”. Until 1964, a person could prove that they had been libeled simply by showing that the statements in question were incorrect. In 1964, the Supreme Court decided that public officials had to prove that the statements in question were made with "actual malice" for the purpose of harming the person's reputation. As a result of the Supreme Court case, Time, Inc. v. Firestone (1976) private individuals only have to prove negligence, rather than "actual malice". It is my contention that Ebay was negligent in their research of this matter and that my reputation has been defamed by this negligence. By doing so “in writing or by images” and then circulating their accusation among the 28 individuals mentioned in their email they are skating on very thin ice. I believe there are other individuals such as myself among these 28 members who would have no problem proving libel under the current requirements of the court.

Ebay never specifically identified the item in question or the specific violation. Instead, they say that I am violated some Vero program. Also: - The academic software in question was purchased several years ago and I have the original receipt. Thus, I am selling original OEM software - purchased legally. - I am most upset at not being told specifically what I violated so that I can prepare a specific response and rebuttal. - I faxed and emailed by rebuttal to ebay but after 2 weeks never got a reply. Very frustrating. My wife registered an account, and then eBay suspended my wife's account and permanently suspended mine. Apparently, I have no recourse. Very frustrating. ebay sold a truck for $2000 that I had bid $3500 on. They told me that the seller lowered the reserve price and their policy is to lower the max bid to $2 below the reserve price. But they failed to keep raising my bid up to my max of $3500 as their web site claims they will do. WHen I contacted the seller, a major auto wholesaler, he informed me this was business as usual with ebay. ebay insisists they have the right to lower the maximum bid below my maximum.

I had purchased what was sopposed to be an established website with 150 hosting cusotmers. I paid $150 for this item. When I recieved it, it was just an ebook explaining how to get your won business with 150 hosting customers. I contacted ebay about the seller selling a fradualent item, when ebay didnt respond to my emails I left negative feedback for the item, the seller then contacted ebay saying I bought the item soley to leave negative feedback and a few hours later my account was suspended. I filed a complaint with paypal to get a refund, and wouldnt you know it, the case was thrown out. I even sent paypal emails that the seller said he would give me a 100% refund if I were to withdraw my feedback. To me that is bribery. This member has been selling this "business" (actually an ebook) for $1000's to unsuspecting buyers. If you read the seelers feedback he has done this to many buyers. sellers ID is right_business. I think that ebay needs to be shut down untill all legal matter with tiffany's and others are resolved. They wouldnt let any other man walk the streets if he commited a crime. If we get enough people to stand together and not just write about it maybe we can make the difference to help others not get screwed.

My daughter ( who lives at a different address and has a different account to me ) was suspended from ebay. Within a few days my account ( which is registered under my name & my address ) was suspended too for my association with her account. Furthermore, my brother-in-laws account (who lives at a different address to both my daughter and myself, has a different phone no and runs his own business) was also suspended for his association with her account. I left work to start my own business on ebay and I cannot believe what has happened. My brother-in-law is even more disappointed with ebay. Am I not allowed to have my own account? I have written to ebay (it has been 2 days) and they have not responded yet. This is costing me money and I am at a loss. The other thing is that I cannot access the addresses of buyers who have paid for their items to send them their items.This is unbelievable. DOesn't ebay care about these people (they trust their site and completely disregard them in this matter). Ebay cannot treat people like this- I did not receive a call or anything. They could have called me to validate my account and verify that I am a different user to my daughter. They could have sent me a warning email (and given me a few days to repond) to explain they were going to suspend my account (so that I could explain the situation) before they went ahead and did it. I received a notice from them of suspension because of some VeRO thing having to do with selling items with intellectual rights. All I ever sell on Ebay are musical instruments and ham radio gear. After phone calls, faxing a form they requested and emailing them numerous times, they have totally ignored me. They won't even tell me what item I listed that violated their policy. In fact, a woman in their customer service dept was confused I received the suspension notice, as she saw nothing wrong with my previous listings. This is what I have to say about ebay. They have the worst customer service that I've come to deal with and I believe that they're a big company who's been getting away with fraud. My account was suspended back in March for "infringement". I then made an appeal to reinstate my account and by end of april they reinstated it again after sending them proof of identity, etc. At the time of my suspension, they sent me an email indicating that all fees for items listed and was removed by ebay will be credited back to me, amounting to about 500.00. When my account was reinstated, 1 week later, I started posting new items, however, I was not permitted to until I paid my invoice which indicated an amoun of 15.00, I paid and started listing my items. A few days later, again I tried listing items and again I was not permitted until I paid my invoice. This time, the invoice indicated an amount of over 400.00!!! I sent ebay an email to explain and justify the bill and to no avail. I must have sent ebay at least 10 emails to try to get an answer and nothing. Then on June, my account was debited by ebay for over 800.00!! I filed a complaint and dispute with my bank against these charges and filed a complaint against ebay on ebay, still trying to find out what that charge was for.. I also filed a complaint on FTC (federal trade commission) regarding ebay's fraudulent transactions and I'm currently awaiting a response from FTC. I have received my credit back from my bank, however, ebay has now submitted my balance or money "supposedly" owed to a collection agency, still no response from ebay!! We need to take action against this company since they're not at all any different from companies or individuals out there who are conducting fraudulent transactions.. Ebay has to literally be made aware and be made accountable for all the losses that we are all enduring by trying to conduct business in their site. We're all losing and their gaining out of our losses and yet they're getting away with it.

Ebay suspended me and accused me of selling "potentially" fake stuff. First of all, my stuff is not fake. Second of all, they are selective as to who they suspend. I have seen more than many power people selling the same stuff as me and worded just like me and they are allowed to sale and not suspended. Ebay is a threat to Free Trade and they must be stopped. My fiance and I are disabled and this was a good business for us that allowed us to be independent and self sufficient. Ebay has stopped all that with their accusations, lies and monopoly on the market. There is definitely a hidden mafia within the corporation. I sent all the information they wanted to get reinstated, including my phone number, ID's and bank statements. The next day I received a phone call from a Samantha from eproauction.com an e-bay approved trading assistant. The number on the caller ID of eproacution is 267-983-0027. Isn't it suspicious that the say after I get suspended I get a call from somebody that wants to sell stuff for me on E-bay of course for a high commission. I did not solicit this service in any way. This suggests that someone from inside E-bay is giving suspended account information to approved E-bay assistants. This proves the theory that E-Bay is selecting who can sell what merchandise. This is disgusting and I want to sue the heck out of them.

I have been suspended from eBay to have discovered that behind many anononymous NPBs there's the same staff of Trust & Safety (AKA Safe Harbour): I could enter their sites out of ebay where I tracked all their IP, and I made a copy of their records with the targets to hits (users ids), and seen with my eyes how personal infos of the users are often going out of ebay servers, mainly for insane matters. I have collected a full CD with the proofs of these jerks (are involved all the countries where eBay operates), available for anyone who is sueing eBay (ask me in case, leaving a message for ebaykill at http://igchome.altervista.org ). At first ebay tried to ban me from their chatboards (to make me not talking with the other users). Then they started to harass me removing without any reason tons of items from my listing. Suddenly, about one month later, they even ripped off without any reason over 1340 regular feedbacks from my account, just as "penalty" to have revealed to the victims about the truth of their attacks (that demonstrates how the FB of eBay are easy manipulated from anyone that can access the Users database). So one year after (July 2006), they closed definitely my account, since I had refused to answer their request for sensitive data and reserved infos (like copies of the invoices, prices lists, and so on), just because I found that the name of the employee was fake and inexisting (yes, I started a deep investigation on that too: they are always fake ids requesting true data!). As for now this war continues all around using any tool or resource available, to shutdown a day the Big Thief, so that the Users can stop this International Fraud for ever!

I too was suspended from eBay for no reason whatsoever. I tried contacting the proper eBay departments through the specified links, and even tried to get answers through the "Live Help" link. All to no avail. When the person on the other end of that live help made a few grammatical errors, I began to suspect that I was being spoofed by some very clever con artists. I typed the suspension email's return address, suspension@ebay.com, into my search engine and came up with quite a bit of information. The email I received is apparently a "phishing" scam. After just a few minutes research on a United Kingdom anti-phishing webpage, http://www.millersmiles.co.uk/, I learned that a flaw in the Internet Explorer browser allows authentic looking URLs to remain visible while redirecting the unsuspecting user to an entirely different site. Is it possible that we're all being fooled into thinking we're suspended from eBay when in actuality we're being redirected to a VERY authentic looking bogus web page/site? It wouldn't be hard. All they need is the page that prevents us from going further, and it would certainly explain why we're not getting responses from eBay. If this is the case, god help those of us who have been emailing/faxing important information to these hoaxters in order to get their accounts reinstated. Ebay suspended our account for reasons undetermined, they have told us several stories and just seem to keep demanding information from us, that we believe is not any of thier business to request. We have come to the point were we have given up on reinstating this account, we had 100% feedback and a great customer base. They are demanding to know who our supplier is? Is this a case of Ebay employee's trying to gain our info so they can use our supplier for thier own personal profit? I believe this to be true! There is obviously something happening beyond the scenes! They put us out of business, they have called us frauds to our customers, we are not, nor have ever been frauds! Who are they to even claim this, they illegally broke our contracts with our customers, limiting our paypal etc...leaving us without access to pay back or ship these items, we had sold a total of 120 items the night before they ending our membership. These people all started emailing demanding immediate refunds, we refunded over and over, and are still left with a few needing refunds, but paypal and ebay have left us no way to put funds into the account to refund or without the capability to obtain addresses or contacting these customers, leaving us in a very dire legal situation. Ebay does not respond to complaints about this situation, and even have decided to keep monies they owe us held up and not refunded without reason. This is horrendous treatment that no one deserves! Please sue the pants off them!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be happy to provide you with any documentation that will help in this lawsuit!

I was suddenly suspended from ebay on 9/7/06 at 0904 EST without any warning. Several auctions I had were active and then closed by Ebay. I was a Powerseller with a rating of 99.7%, 1119 transactions and a member since 1999 without a problem. Once I received the suspension, I contacted Ebay through their email channel. No response. I then emailed them daily, repeating my request for information, with each message becoming progressively more assertive. Finally, after 5 days, they emailed me and said, "Dear doctorpepe, Thank you for taking the time to contact eBay regarding the suspension of your account. I understand that you feel we have been unfair in upholding this suspension, and we take your complaint very seriously. After reviewing your situation again, however, we've decided that this account will remain closed until the purgui_fet suspension is resolved. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Wilhelm eBay Customer Support Their response referenced an account named "purgui_fet," which they claimed was my account and that I had a problem that occurred on which needed resolution before my ebay account, doctorpepe, could be reinstated. I wrote them and told them I had never had any such account. They replied that until I responded to the emails they sent to this address they had on file for purgui_fet, they could do nothing. I find it ironic that I was being asked to respond to emails that I would never receive! Sounded like a Catch 22 to me. I subsequently made two attempts to contact Ebay through their on-line live agent link. On the first occasion, the agent took about 10 minutes to check my account, then suddenly wrote that my complaint had to be handled by another department and then immediately terminated the on line correspondence. On the second occasion, the response was practically idential. I then found the Ebay main telephone number, 800-322-9266, called and asked the operator to connect me with customer service. He did so, and after about 10 minutes of working with a live person, she suddenly said there was nothing she could do as my problem had to be handled by another department and immedately hung up. Later in the week, I tried the same approach, but asked to speak with someone in the powerseller department. They spent a few minutes looking up my data, and suddenly said that they were too busy to deal with a powerseller under the silver level and abruptly hung up. It seems as though whenever my account is brought up on a screen by the Ebay staff, there is some sort of huge red alarm that goes off, they freak out and hang up. I can attest to my good character, and I have never been treated this rudely. Apparently, Ebay believes I have done something so horrible that I have moved from Powerseller to Leper status. I still have no resolution on this issue. The treatment by Ebay of a member such as myself resembles the way the USSR used to treat dissidents. They would accuse citizens of crimes, usually unknown, or at least unspoken, and then the citizen would be banished or sent to Siberia with no explanation of their "crime" and no information on how long their detention might be. No recourse or due process. And very un-American. I consider myself fortunate that I do not rely upon Ebay for my livelihood, and only used it for small limited hobbyist activities. I think that the egregious behavior that I experienced appears to be more common than I thought. I appreciate your website, mainly because it has helped me see that I am not alone in my exile from EBay.

Well I had been a member of ebay for 4 years and I always bought things off of there and never had a problem then when I started selling I had a problem. I had 30 auctions up and running and I tried to put more and I got a listing denial notice. Then once a couple of my auctions ended I relisted my items and then I got 2 e-mails stating that my account was suspended per section 9 of the user agreement and I have never been given a reason of why my account was suspended also I contacted them several times over e-mail and asked them questions about it and they siad that my account was eligible for appeal after 20 days and I never asked about an appeal I asked why my account was suspended and like I say they still have not given me a reason and also they still sent me an invoice for the fees but I cannot use my account and that's not right at all. If there is going to be a law suit brought against them I want to be a part of that because they are taking people's money and supposedly they don't have a phone so you can talk to a human and not have to write e-mails. Ebay claims to hold user security in high regard but when reporting scam e-mails and phising ebay schemes, they give you generic advice. They fail to take into consideration that I may have been the victim of fraud, but instead are fast to impose administrative punishment. Their appeal process is contrary to basic parlimentary procedure and it seems that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing with regard to their customer service and support. They can tell you that your account is suspended but no specific details.

When you get suspended, it is almost inevetible that customer get screwed over. Then finally, after jumping through all the hoops that must be jumped, you get suspended again for non performance. I understand that suspension was right, because I kept listing items that were deemed unacceptable. However, when sent an alert, ebay takes down the auction, not letting the seller see which auction it was. The title, is just not descriptive enough, because the item's photo is what I need to see what item it was. From there, I continued selling under what I considered to be my main and only ebay account. Worked real, real hard selling high quality prints, became a power seller. I was so happy I framed the email and put it on my wall. Then, out of the blue, I got suspended for the first time. The reason was because I was linked to a suspended user. Oh My God I thought. Of course the suspended user was the im_fine_howru account. I had pretty much forgotten that account, and now suddenly, it ripped my life in half. In many, many ways at that. As you all know, ebay is not very friendly or communicative in any sense when you suspend members. I understand that some members deserve such brash treatment. But I never ripped anyone off for an LCD TV or have 50 complaints for BIG TICKET items. Ebay gave me me no knowledge in any way, telling me "Hey, YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THIS SUSPENDED ACCOUNT! Or your other account will be suspended!" Next, I went into business with a good friend under Lk_investments. After working hard for a couple months, I finally established enough income to go out for pizza with my son. Then, "out of the blue" Suspended again. This time for selling Taylor Hicks Cd's. Cd's I had purchased on ebay. Again, NO WARNING, no nothing. Just pain and misery once again. I had not knowingly sold anything that was not permitted. At that time, there were 12 sellers selling that disc. Of course, those sellers were allowed to stay on and feed their families. I was starving at this point. Next I went through all the hoops required to get lk_investments back on. Then without a warning, boom, suspended again due to non-performance. Non performance?!?! " I just got back on!" Ebay at no time sends or gives the sellers any HELP or notification saying that these rules exist, furthermore that there is time limit , or specific number designated to take care of disputes. Many or all of the disputes happen while being suspended. How can I resolve any disputes while suspended? The access is very limited, as you know. Then, still trying to feed my family. I talked my sister and she said that she wouldnt mind doing some business. Under "sunnysideup3". Busted my tail real hard for months and finally got some regular income coming in. Then, out of the blue, SUSPENDED . More tears and more not knowing what about my son and I's future. This time, for violating vero. I did not know the products I was selling was in violation. Of course, ebay cannot take them down and just give an alert, no they have to murder the seller. An alert notifies the seller that their particular product, someone has a problem with. Sometimes it is the actual company, sometimes it is reported by random ebayers. Next, talk to my cousin, he would like to get started on selling some stuff with me. After a month of super hard work, and absence from my son and other family members (I had to dedicate so much time to getting restarted). I was doing decent, finally having enough money coming in to put more than $5 dollars in gas in. Then boom, yet again the tears fall and I get suspended. This time was the fastest yet, for offering Johnny Cash magnets. No warning, just boom. Hell in other words. After trying to get that account signed back on, it was determined that it was linked to a suspended user, me! Magnet_den_here. Things take so long to get anything done in ebay, so I am trying to embrace myself for more red tape, and will have to find some way to get some money for my son and I. Though that will be hard because I have 100% custody. Ebay makes it real, real, real hard on a person who gets suspended to MAKES THINGS RIGHT again. By not allowing them into their account, not letting them contact customers, not letting the seller FULFILL orders, suspending them for reasons that they do not give warnings for, and the worst one is that it seems that they do not have ANY respect, compassion towards the sellers, and often buyers. The buyers too, are left in the cold when someone gets suspended. I have gone through living hell, can someone, please, anyone help me get back on track?!! I understand all I will get is a generic email, and that really hurts. Considering I put my life, heart, and soul into your company. How I resolve my complaints on this account? I recieved notice from Ebay that my powerseller, 100% positive feedback account was suspended due to it "being linked to a suspended account"...In truth, I had two accounts, one of which I hadn't used in 5 months (and only briefly beore that) -- it was past due and had been suspended as a result of non-payment. Because of that account, they suspended the account I'd been using and had paid thousands in seller/listing fees over several months -- always in good standing. Upon receiving the suspension notice, I, in good faith and knowing I should have cleared up the balance on the other account long before, immediately paid the account in full, thinking that is what they wanted and that I'd be reinstated. Clearly, that didn't work! It's been 3 days since I received the suspension notice. I have emailed them 3 time so far and have yet to get a response. All of my listings were cancelled and I have more than $1000 dollars in invoices rom past auctions due to me that I'm quite sure I can kiss goodbye since it seems, after having read the previous posts to this website, that Ebay sends all of your buyers a notice that you've been suspended and NOT to follow through with the transaction. While I realize I was in the wrong for being behind on one of my bills, I don't think that should warrant (without ANY warning or attempt to resolve whatsoever) the treatment I am receiving. My only crime is being behind on a bill that I immediately paid in full. Two to three weeks ago, I got an email indicating that someone had cracked into my eBay account and stolen my identity. I have had an eBay account for 6 years with 100% positive feedback. The creeps attempted to list a number of items using my name. I contacted eBay's live chat. They removed the items and assured my my account was secure, advising me to change my password, which I did. Every other day I received more emails indicating that my account, credit card number and personal information had been again compromised. I canceled ALL my credit cards, and changed my password again. Every time I would contact "live chat". Every time they assured me that my account was now safe. Within the last couple of days I received a letter from eBay informing me that I have been temporarily suspended because my credit card number has been involved in fraudulent activity. Again I contacted "live chat". They said apparently there was a mistake and provided a link where I could explain the situation. I did. I received a letter today that said my account is PERMANENTLY suspended because of fraudulent credit card activity. What the hell is going on with them? What can I do?

Ebay debited my checking account a week before they said they would, which I didn't know because things have kind of been blowing up in my life lately, not to mention zero sales in my Ebay store in over a month. Okay. Not a real problem. At least the items are in my store and a had a lot of watchers and that was growing all the time. I should let you know that I have a feedback rating of 100% -- but no surprise there for a suspension, right? So they send me a notice on August 9th telling me that my payment did not go through, to please pay, or I may be suspended, spanked or whatever. Again, not a problem. I paid them immediately the next day through PayPal, not only the $95 I owed them, but everything up to August 10th, $111 and change. Payment was accepted by them. Two hours later I was suspended! I wrote to appeal the suspension. About two hours later I get a form letter of apology and that my account was reinstated. Reinstated my ass -- sorry for the profanity. My store is gone, listing fees of $2.90 credited -- which, of course, I don't have access to anyway -- and I am listed as an "not a registered user." Three e-mails have gone by since then, three discussions with live chat, and another e-mail to Bill Cobb. No response. Not even an acknowledgement of my e-mails, like their policies clearly state they send immediately! I'm glad I wasn't selling for years and suddenly lost everything. I'm lucky I still have another job, but this was still devasating. I had worked hard to build a sterling relationship and because my items are all handcrafted the amount of time photographing and writing descriptions is very long. Nothing is mass produced so a ton of time goes into each and every listing. If this is resolved I will not go back to Ebay as a seller. I may buy my supplies from my favorite suppliers there, but I refuse to ever go through this again.

This is all over seller fees, I went back and paid the balance on my other account so now it is active, but yet my account 3kgtmagic is still suspended. i was unfairly suspended after a year of use. they gave no warning then billed me for all the auctions they cancelled, after emailing constantly since they dont have a phone number..what is that?? they stated i was linked to another user. since when does knowing soeone make you that person?? i used my account by myself for a whole yea.had 100% positive feedback! without warning they suspended me that was my sole income!, they just give the same response. until the other account which has nothing to do with me is suspended i will be suspended

Hi, I was a seller on ebay for less than a week when i had my account suspended for no known reason. i was selling authentic brand name designer clothing such as Juicy Couture and rock and Republic. About two days after my registration Ebay removed two of my listings, one for a Rock and Republic Victoria Beckham Crystal Crown Jeans and a True Religion Crystal Pocket Jeans. Ebay removed my listings citing a ''trademark misuse'' violation. My account wasn't suspended at that time. I contacted Ebay demanding the reason for my listings being removed. They replied to me with some stupid email that did not answer my question. I continued to try selling my items again, only I did not relist the same items that were removed. I listed a total of 17 items and people were already bidding on them when out of the blue Ebay suspended my account citing the same ''trademark misuse'' violation. I know thatr I did not violate any trademark laws. There are thousands of other people who are selling the same designer brands as me, yet their items are not being removed. This suspension was both unjust and unfair, and Ebay has yet to provide a good explanation for their actions.

two of my ebay accounts got suspended( one is old, and the otehr is new). The old one I created at the beginning of this year, but I've never used it after the registration. Just two months ago, my new accounts got suspended along with the indication of the involvement with my previously suspended old account. I was so shocked to hear that my old account was suspended, and what angers me a lot is saying my old account suspension is associated with a previously suspended member who I've never heard of and I've never had an idea of what's happening. The feeling is like being prosecuted without the dual process. Unbelievably unjust and unfair! I've sent-in an email to explain the truth of my side, but they never cared about what you wrote. All replies with rejection of all appeals from you, and the most hateful sentence always appear on their emails is " based on the evidence we've reviewed for your case, your decision has been made for infinite suspension"." What the heck is that? To suspend one's account with reasons, without giving the other party the chance of explanation to the truth of the whole story, even without a chance for you to be lived again. I can't believe this is the art of work behind safeharbor. It appears like the truth and the power is always held by safeharobr, shouldn't we join together against eBay's very bad service for the fight of justice? I've already wrote the president of the eBay office, we all hope they will do something with the illegal suspension from Safeharbor!
